  1. Take a photo tour of our store. Do you see an item that catches your eye? Any prints, paintings, or books? Do you see a tool or two you would like? How about a selection of our tool kits we have for sale? Call Helen at 207-548-6465 for inquiries or purchases.
  2. Our most important mission is to have you visit our store in Searsport. We are open by appointment most any time.

  4. All the stores of the Jonesport Wood Company, Inc. help support the Davistown Museum. Approximately 15% of all sales are donated to the museum to cover staffing, utilities, and the new Tools Teach program and publications. Please visit the new Tools Teach: The Iconography of American Hand Tools website at www.toolsteach.org. Have you visited the Davistown Museum website and taken the photo tour? The museum is the largest internet source of information about the history of ferrous metallurgy and the steel- and toolmaking strategies and techniques used by New England’s colonial era forge-masters, shipsmiths, and toolmakers. Please note the extensive Hand Tools in History publication series sponsored by the Davistown Museum and the tool stores of the Jonesport Wood Company, Inc.
  5. Your business at Captain Tinkham’s also helps support the Davistown Museum’s history information center which can be visited whenever Captain Tinkham’s is open.
